A journey to be shared

The journey from Palm Sunday to Easter is a tough one.

Our emotions are convulsing as we celebrate one minute the triumph of Jesus' non-violent entry into Jerusalem that reveals the powers around Him as fictions. Then we are in the tragic intimacy of the upper room as our King becomes slave, asking for our humble willingness to follow Him. Swiftly we endure the horror of Good Friday, when the full extent of His love is revealed. Oh how we long after the silence of Friday afternoon and Saturday for the trumpets to blast out on Sunday morning as dawn breaks to reveal death too is broken. The tomb is empty. The King lives!

It is too much to travel this journey alone. The lows are too low and the highs are too high not to be shared. So please join us at St Michael's this Holy Week and Easter. All the service details are on the website.

We need each other if we are to faithfully walk the path of discipleship.
